I dreamt.
Part I: Ten Minute Run
I was hiking in a spruce forest with a friend I don’t remember. The trees were thin, tall and young. The forest was carpeted with moss, there were shrubs and ferns occasionally. We were looking for bears. We decided to split up to search. To make it easier to find each other again, we decided to set a timer for 10 minutes and run in opposite directions. At the end of the timer, we would turn around and come back until we met up again.
When the timer started, I was suddenly at my parent’s home. I ran across the street and tried to climb over the chainlink fence in the neighbor’s yard. I was clumsy and failed so hard several times. I finally got over and ran through various yards. I finally arrived at a cliff and there were several versions of my work binder lined up. One of my coworkers was standing with a binder and said that the way we store information is so inefficient. We have to print out a new binder every time something gets updated, it’s been like this for 40 years.
I told my coworker that I haven’t been doing that, I just update the information in my binder, I don’t print out anything. They said that was amazing.
Part II: Butterfly Cosplay
I was preparing for a cosplay photoshoot; my two best friends were waiting for me. I was in my kitchen, getting ready at the dinner table. Mateo from the Stardew Valley Expanded mod was with me. I was wearing a purple gown with a long white cardigan. I was putting on a vine and butterfly crown. The front of the crown had two blue butterflies, one on each of my temples. The back had a giant yellow butterfly but that kept falling off. While I was using twisty ties to try to secure it, Mateo was suggesting places that we should visit. I told him to stop, I was already running late for the photoshoot, he was delaying me real bad.
I finally fixed my butterfly crown and added some vines to my ears. I then went into the shower. When I pulled back the curtain, I saw how simple my friends’ cosplays were. I felt like mine was too much but I didn’t really care. I loved my outfit. They had the shower running, when I stepped in, I exclaimed that the water was super cold. We then began the photoshoot.
I awoke.
